5 Days ~ 10AM - 5:00 PM
FEB 24 through 28, 2010

This is the one you’ve been waiting for...
Intermediate / Advanced

Designed to motivate you to that next level - or out of a rut - or to just have a blast doing some cool stuff. This class is for those already with some monotype experience so we can go forward at full speed.

We’ll experiment with a number of techniques, maybe mix in some dry point, collage, multiple size plates on same print, masks, stencils; we’ll snub our noses at the “print police.” You can bring in previously printed work, and take them from the recycling pile to the ready-for-the-museum pile.

Actually there is no way to articulate the exhilaration one may experience in this “first of it’s kind” experience. JUST SHOW UP!

I supply ink, rollers, rags, odorless thinner, etc. You buy paper, from me (at cost) or from your own source.

Cost for workshop is $325. To reserve a spot please send a $50 deposit (non-refundable within 2 weeks of class), the balance is due on the first day of the class.

Painting for Pleasure, Seriously
5 Day Workshop
10AM - 4:30 PM
Wednesday, March 24 through Sunday March 28, 2010

This workshop invites an open enthusiastic approach to painting. You will be encouraged to follow threads of interest that can lead to the joy of discovery. We will use a variety of methods to apply and manipulate paint, creating many forms of contrast to achieve depth and energy. Each artist will work on a number of small panels and one larger, taking advantage of the versatility of acrylic paints. The smaller pieces can encourage experimentation and give opportunities to try many ideas.

Materials list available soon

Cost is $325. To reserve a spot please send a $50 deposit (non-refundable within 2 weeks of class), the balance is due on the first day of the class.

A great deal of pleasure and satisfaction can be achieved through the act of drawing. We will focus this exploration on the human figure.

I encourage each of you, regardless of experience, to appreciate your current abilities yet not be content to remain there so that you can enjoy the thrill of discovery.

Cost of class $325 + $30 model fee. Total $355
$50 deposit will hold your spot with the balance due first night of class. (This deposit is non refundable within 1 week of class).
