William Allen Park
July 20, 1945 – March 23, 2025
William “Bill” Allen Park passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 79. Born on July 20, 1945, in Oakland, California, Bill lived a life enriched by his passion for art, the beach, and baseball.
Since 1976, Bill made the Portland area his home. He began his career as a sign painter in Oxnard, California, later continuing his craft in Portland. Over time, he embraced a deeper artistic journey, proudly calling himself a “Serious Painter of Paintings.” For the last two decades, Bill could be found in his beloved NE Portland studio, where he painted, printed, and generously shared his skill and knowledge through classes and workshops. His artistic legacy lives on in countless pieces displayed throughout the Pacific Northwest, including at OHSU, the University of Oregon, the Multnomah Athletic Club, and Portland International Airport.
Bill was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Miller, and son-in-law, Bruce Miller; his son, Jeremy Park; his brothers, Pat Park (DeeDee), Chris Park, and Ken Park (Nancy); and his cherished grandchildren, Chelsea Park, Cole Miller, Jenah Park, and Tatum Miller. He also leaves behind the mother of his children, Irene Park, his loving companion, Jean Auld, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard William Park and Muriel Emerald DowhenPark.
Those who knew Bill will remember him for his humor, kindness, generosity, and unwavering passion for painting. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire.
